Instant TIN Matching Simulation
To understand how TIN Matching works, you can perform an end-to-end simulation of the process in Sandbox. You can provide the TIN specified as follows to simulate
various statuses.

| TIN Ends with 0 | SUCCESS | TIN and Name match |
| TIN Ends with 1 | FAILED | TIN was missing or was entered incorrectly |
| TIN Ends with 2 | FAILED | TIN entered is not currently issued |
| TIN Ends with 3 | FAILED | TIN and Name do not match |
| TIN Ends with 4 | FAILED | Invalid TIN matching request |
| TIN Ends with 5 | FAILED | Duplicate TIN matching request |
| TIN Ends with 6 | SUCCESS | TIN Match found only on SSN, when the TIN type is(3 - Unknown) |
| TIN Ends with 7 | SUCCESS | TIN Match found only on EIN, when the TIN type is(3 - Unknown) |
| TIN Ends with 8 | SUCCESS | TIN Match found on both the SSN and EIN format, when the TIN type is(3 - Unknown) |
| TIN Ends with 209 | ONHOLD | The IRS is experiencing a delay in processing. |
| TIN Ends with 409 | ONHOLD | The IRS is experiencing a delay in processing. |
For TINs with an ONHOLD status, you will receive a webhook notification within 5 minutes:
- TINs ending in 209 — Success
- TINs ending in 409 — Failed
