1099-G automation with TaxBandits API

The TaxBandits API enables you to automate 1099-G filing directly from your existing systems. Depending on how your platform manages payment data, you can choose the approach that fits your workflow.

Automate end-to-end 1099-G cycle

Collect W-9/W-8 forms from recipients, validate their TINs against the IRS database, and file 1099-G forms at year-end.

Best for: State unemployment insurance (UI) systems and government workforce platforms that onboard claimants, process weekly benefit payments throughout the year, withhold taxes on request, track claimant activity for fraud detection, and generate Form 1099-G at year-end.

Create and file 1099-G directly

If you already have recipient data and annual payment totals in your system, use the API endpoints to create and transmit 1099-G forms directly.

Best for: Integrated state government ERP and treasury management systems that already hold full payment and recipient records (claimant ID, TIN, benefit totals, withholding) and need only to generate and transmit 1099-G at year-end.

Supported tax years

TaxBandits API supports e-filing of Form 1099-G for the following tax years:
