Overview

Form 943 is the Employer's Annual Federal Tax Return for Agricultural Employees. It is specifically designed for employers who hire agricultural workers and are required to report and pay federal income tax and FICA (Social Security and Medicare) tax withheld from their employees.

Form 943 endpoints:

You can use the following endpoints to complete the 943 filing.

In order to use the following endpoints, you must call the Auth method to get the access token. This access token must be supplied in the request header as the ‘Bearer‘ token. Refer to OAuth 2.0 Authentication for more information on JWT authentication.

• Create - To create Form 943 for the respective quarter.
• Update - To make changes to an existing Form 943.
• Transmit - To transmit the 943 to the IRS.
• Status - To check the status of the 943 after transmission. (As an alternative, you can configure Webhooks for E-file Status Change)

Signature Endpoints:

Based on the type of filer you are, you can use any of the following endpoints to sign 943 returns.

• DownloadForm8453EMP (Applicable to CPA and Software Providers) - Used to download the 8453-EMP form generated by TaxBandits API for the RecordId.
• UploadForm8453EMP - To upload the signed 8453-EMP form to our system.

Reporting Agents who use RA-PIN while creating Form 943. Also, the filers who use Online Signature PIN can provide it while creating Form 943.

Other 943 Endpoints:

You can use any of the following endpoints based on your needs.

• GetPDF - Used to obtain the Form 943 PDFs as a Zip file via Webhook. You will have to configure the Webhook in Settings to receive the PDF.
• ValidateForm - To validate the field-level specifications of Form 943 before creating the form.
• Validate - To audit the created Form 943 data before transmission to the IRS.
• List - To list all Form 943 for a submission or employer.
• Get - To retrieve the information from the 943 form created.
• Delete - To delete the 943 returns created.
