Create

Create

Use this endpoint to create one or more Form 5498-SA returns in a single submission. You can create up to 250 returns for a payer in a single request. When the request is successful, you'll receive a SubmissionId, which uniquely identifies that submission.

Filing services​

While creating 5498-SA returns, opt into at least one of the following filing services in SubmissionManifest:

  • Federal filing — Set IsFederalFiling to TRUE to e-file the return with the IRS.

Distribution services​

Optionally, opt into one or both recipient copy distribution services:

  • Postal mailing — Set IsPostal to TRUE to have TaxBandits print and mail the recipient copy.
  • Online access — Set IsOnlineAccess to TRUE to share a digital copy with the recipient through a secure online portal.
