Real-Time TIN Matching Simulation
To understand how TIN Matching works, you can perform an end-to-end simulation of the process in Sandbox. You can provide the TIN specified as follows to simulate
various statuses.
Note:
To simulate the “On Hold” status, you can send the TIN for FAILED status more than 3 times.

| TIN Ends with 0 | SUCCESS | TIN and Name combination match the IRS records |
| TIN Ends with 1 | FAILED | TIN missing or TIN not a 9-digit numeric |
| TIN Ends with 2 | FAILED | TIN entered is not currently issued |
| TIN Ends with 3 | FAILED | TIN and Name combination do not match the IRS records |
| TIN Ends with 4 | FAILED | Invalid TIN Matching request |
| TIN Ends with 5 | FAILED | Duplicate TIN Matching request |
| TIN Ends with 6 | SUCCESS | TIN and Name combination match the IRS SSN records |
| TIN Ends with 7 | SUCCESS | TIN and Name combination match IRS EIN records |
| TIN Ends with 8 | SUCCESS | TIN and Name combination match IRS SSN and EIN records |
