Attachments

TaxBandits allows you to upload additional documents to be sent along with the recipient copies of Form 1099 when postal mailing is opted for. This feature is helpful for including cover letters, payment summaries, or other supporting materials with your mailed forms.

Attachments uploaded via the API will be included in the physical envelope sent to each recipient and will also be accessible through their online access portal.

How it works​

You can use the following endpoints to upload and send attachments along with the recipient copies.

  • UploadAttachment: Use this endpoint to upload supporting documents to be included with 1099 recipient copies. For sample JSON Refer, 1099 NEC
  • ViewAttachment: Use this endpoint to view the attachment you’ve uploaded for a particular 1099 form.
  • DeleteAttachment: Use this endpoint to delete an attachment that was previously uploaded.

Uploaded attachments will be automatically mailed along with the recipient copies once the forms are transmitted (If postal mailing is enabled).
