Overview

Nevada employers subject to unemployment insurance must file quarterly contribution and wage reports with the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), Employment Security Division. All registered employers are required to file a quarterly report, even if no wages were paid during the quarter.

The TaxBandits API supports Nevada unemployment insurance reporting through the Employer’s Quarterly Contribution and Wage Report (NUCS 4072).

NUCS 4072UIQuarterlyLast day of the month following the quarter end

For example, reports are generally due April 30, July 31, October 31, and January 31. If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the report is due on the next business day.

Key compliance notes

UI wage reporting. Employers liable for Nevada unemployment insurance must file a quarterly contribution and wage report and report wages for covered employees.

Employee wage details. The report includes employee-level wage information, including the employee's Social Security number, name, tips reported, and total gross wages including tips.

No payroll reporting. Employers that paid no wages during the quarter are still required to submit a quarterly report.

Electronic filing. Nevada requires quarterly Contribution and Wage Reports to be filed online, with electronic reporting options available through the state's Employer Self-Service system.

API endpoints

For Nevada reporting, the state-specific methods — Create, Update, and Get — differ by form because each form has its own field structure. The utility methods — List, Delete, Transmit, RequestPdfUrls, and Status — are shared across State and UI reporting.

NUCS 4072 (Nevada UI)

  • Create – Create a new Pennsylvania quarterly withholding return.
  • Update – Update a Pennsylvania withholding return that was created but not yet transmitted.
  • Get – Retrieve the details of a created Pennsylvania withholding return.

Form UC-2 (Pennsylvania UI)

  • Create – Create a new Nevada quarterly unemployment insurance report.
  • Update – Update a NUCS 4072 report that was created but not yet transmitted.

Common endpoints: For the remaining methods — List, Status, Transmit, RequestPdfUrls, and Delete, refer to the common endpoints shared across State UI reporting.

All endpoints require an OAuth 2.0 access token. Call the Auth method and pass the token as a Bearer token in the request header.

Testing & notifications

Before filing, you can simulate the entire verification flow in our Sandbox environment without submitting real data to state agencies.

As an alternative to polling the Status endpoint, you can configure a webhook for the Status Payroll Filings Status Change event type to receive automated status updates.
